How Men and Women React to stress and why?

The study on managing the stress in different situtaions states that both the men and women respond to stress in different ways and there are specific reasons as to why and how they cope up with the stress individually. The simplest of the ways people handle stress  is either to react to stress in an aggressive way or just give it up.

Studies also demonstrate that both the  males and  females are able to manage the stress  with the help of the hormone called as  oxytocin

The studies conducted before the year 1995 stated that the major reason of females responding to stress is due to the regular monthly hormones generated in their body and so main focus was on study on males but this phenomenon chnaged after 1995 and then both the men and women were observed separately for the results.

The study done on Females in the year 2000 found that women manage the stress by following the tend and befriend theory and they get to manage it with the help of the social contacts and their loved ones.Women are also able to manage the stress in a positive and easy way due to the presence of high amount of oxytocin hormone as compared to the males.

 Studies also reveal that men at the time of stress prefer to light a ciggarette or opt for a drug while females choose to share the situation with their friends or family members or they will prefer to pray and gather strength to overcome the situation.
Thus it is recommended that men need to develop the attitude to manage and overcome the stress in a positive and healthy manner by sharing the situation with his partner and try to come to a calm state where he can handle it in an easy way.
